Custom-made furniture for a modern nursing home.

	
As a partner company of [Dherte Namur SA](https://www.dherte.be/index.html), we were responsible for the [interior design](/our-services/interior-design-and-decoration/) of the ‘La Madeleine. Un Jardin pour tous’ nursing home in Gosselies. The project included the [planning](/our-services/concept-interior-design/), [manufacture and assembly](/our-services/furniture-production-and-assembly/) of all tailor-made furniture and reflects our expertise in designing functional and welcoming spaces. The client for this project was the ASBL Fonds de Saint Jean.

### Customised room furniture

We created elegant and practical furniture for the residents' rooms that perfectly combines functionality and comfort. The built-in wall cupboards offer generous storage space and fit seamlessly into the overall concept. The television walls complement the room design and create a harmonious and cosy ambience.

### Design of the lounge area

The lounge area was designed with a particular focus on creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Curves in the furniture and room dividers give the room a harmonious appearance, which is further emphasised by light wood tones. The integrated kitchenette has been skilfully built into an alcove and the open seating areas invite people to linger together.

### Rooms for the nursing staff

The various rooms for the nursing staff have also been well thought out and designed accordingly. Bright, friendly furniture and kitchen units have been installed on all floors to support the daily work routine while creating an inviting ambience.

### Reception area and lounge on the ground floor

The elegantly designed reception area and spacious lounge on the ground floor of the care home are a real highlight. Dark, open wooden partitions structure the space without visually restricting it. Light wooden elements are reflected on the back of the dark wooden partitions, following the curved architecture of the building and emphasising the modern character of the interior. Matching seating furniture blends harmoniously into the design and rounds off the overall picture.

The ‘La Madeleine’ project shows how functionality, aesthetics and craftsmanship can be combined to create a harmonious overall concept. Residents and staff alike benefit from the high quality and well-thought-out design of the **custom-made furniture**, which gives this care home a unique identity.
